Wear loose, comfortable clothing (jogging suit, sweat suit or shorts) and flat shoes. You may consider clothing that will allow for a large dressing when hand or wrist surgery is performed. Loose fitting pants are recommended when having surgery on a lower extremity. Please do not wear make-up or contact lenses.

Jewelry and valuables should be left at home, but we will be glad to keep your dentures, glasses, wigs and hairpieces in a safe place for you while you are in surgery. You may brush your teeth but do not swallow toothpaste or water.

Children may bring a favorite toy or blanket.
