Columbus Surgery Center charges for the facility fees. You will receive a bill for these charges. You will also receive a bill from the physician. There may be other fees associated with your visit. These may include bills from the anesthesiologist, laboratory, pathologist, etc.
At the Columbus Surgery Center, we want you to be aware of your outpatient facility insurance benefits and pre-certification requirements. As a service to our patients, after contacting both your physician and insurance company, we will be contacting you to discuss your insurance benefits including any co-pays, deductibles, and/or coinsurance prior to your appointment. You will not be receiving a phone call if:
• You have two or more insurance policies in effect at the time of the procedure.
• You have Medicare and/or Medicaid
• Your procedure was scheduled within 24 hours prior to the day of the surgery.
If at any time you have questions regarding your insurance coverage, please feel free to contact our billing office. We will be happy to assist you.
Our policy at Columbus Surgery Center is to collect co-pays, deductibles, and/or coinsurances on the day of the procedure. The amount discussed is an estimate based upon information provided by both your physician and insurance company. For your convenience, we have a variety of payment options available to assist our patients. We do accept cash, checks, money orders, MasterCard and Visa. For any other payment arrangements, please contact our office.
In order to correctly bill your insurance company on your behalf, please bring your insurance cards with you the day of your procedure. It is our policy that we require you to bring your drivers license or photo ID to assist us in the prevention of identity theft.
